In 2001 I bought some acrylic paints to take on holiday and began to paint again after many years of taking slides and photographs of the west coast of Scotland where I live. 

I was inspired to paint seascapes by the beautiful landfall illustrations on old charts.  Since then I have continued to photograph, draw and paint the magnificent seascapes of the west coast as I sail  on my yacht Elk.   This website is in the process of being created but is designed to show you both my photographs and my paintings.  I tell you a little bit about myself on the next page.  I held my first exhibition in the summer of 2007 and will be holding a second exhibition in August 2008 - have a look at some of my new paintings.
