Born and brought up on the West Coast of Scotland I spent 6 years at Oban High School mostly at the back of Eric Strachan’s room in the Art Department learning drawing and painting; a little bit of  sculpture, etching, screen printing and photography

In Glasgow College of Building and Printing I built up a graphic design portfolio which led me to work as a Process Camera Operator in the production department at the Oban Times.  Since then I have moved on to become  a self employed craftsman working mainly with wood and stone. Whilst living and working in Oban and Kilmore I have taken my camera with me on many sailing trips on the west coast; also on one memorable trip in the Mediterranean and one very memorable Atlantic crossing.

In 2007 I had an exhibition of my paintings in Oban.

In August 2008 I held a second exhibition, again in the Corran Halls in Oban.
